Creative Packaging Add-Ons to Try

Packaging with good colors and designs that are dazzling will help to build your packaging experience. Plus, with the right branding material, packaging is something that makes a terrific first impression on many people. You want it to look good, and you want it to look different from the rest of the people. Packaging enhancements is something that makes packaging not only look better, but also increases the shares, the sales, and offers better word-of-mouth aspects. Here are some of the best and most creative add-ons you can add to your current packaging, and some companies that are doing it a bit differently.

Carta

Carta is a fragrance company that’s using patterns that are embossed on the neck and shoulder rigid boxes. Embossing is basically a fancy word for creating patterns that are raised using two different dyes, one to create the effect that’s raised, and another to make the recessed effect. This offers better textures, but also really shows the experiences of the perfume, and the locations and ecologies that are there. This also was inspired by the Amazonian Basin landscape, and also the way that the snakes turn in the Tambopata River. This is one that definitely also owes the value due to the fact it also comes with recycled paper.

The Ai Illum Lab from Starbucks

Starbucks Taiwan has a segment that collaborated with Ai Ai Ilium, which is a lab that made some earth day packaging for candles. The idea was to show off not just simplicity, but also elegance utilizing both white colors, and also embossing along with debossing the text to make it.

Debossing is a fancy word that means the opposite of embossing, and it basically makes the sunken effect through the two dies, as seen through the use of embossing as well. The folding cartons used to put the candles in also fit them perfectly, preventing them from moving about especially when being transported from the manufacturing location all the way to the store. Plus, since they are organic candles, and were made from coffee grounds which were spent, this was something with packaging that was derived from recycled paper.

Abe & Sara

This is a packaging that’s quite fun and different. They do sunglass manufacturing, and this type of packaging really shows it off. They absolutely love the fun, bright colors that they use, and it truly does make it a unique, almost playful sort of brand.

They also love to use gold foil stamping, to make the boxes almost like a keepsake. Foil stamping utilizes heat, and pressure to offer a layer of the foil to stamp out the material that’s used for the box. Foil stamping also is used to help with other colors, including rose gold, or silver gold types of foils. This offers a packaging that does shine and gives you quite the variety for the designs.

Jaybird

This is a cool company because it uses what's called UV packaging for the designs that they have, offering an upscale sort of packaging experience. They use Spot UV, which is the process of creating UV coating to the specific parts of this, in order to make it stand out.

The  coating on this is upscale, and it lets you add to different designs, adding more depth, and some sheen.  It’s also great for making darker surfaces look bigger, more intensified as well.

For a lot of companies, embossing and debossing can help, and these companies offer creative uses that will help you get the most that you can, and improve your packaging.
